Concrete Repair and Restoration
RE-TECH Corporation uses an engineered method of preventative maintenance and repair for concrete and cement structures such as: Sidewalks, driveways, patios, pool decks, Reservoirs, Foundations, Parking Decks, Sewage and Water Treatment Tanks, Tunnels, Swimming pools, Airport Runways Underground Vaults, Man Holes, and Fountains.
We are authorized applicators of SPRAY-CRETE. Spray-Crete by Re-Tech is resurfacing at its best. Used by universities, airports, hotels, entertainment parks, homes and businesses around the world.
Spray-Crete is cool, attractive, strong, and highly resistant to tough daily problems like stains, mildew, water, and seasonal problems from northern freeze/thaw cycles, to southern heat, sun and UV rays.
Copied by many, duplicated by none, Spray-Crete beautifies and adds value to your pool deck, porch, driveway, foyer or den. It can be applied to flat or vertical surfaces. Limitless color, texture, design patterns are available to compliment any decor.
Spray-Crete also beautifies as much as it protects. Our variety of textures, colors and designs will enhance your living or working environment. Sprayed on or troweled on, you can depend on us to install it professionally. In addition, it's easy to clean - maintenance couldn't be easier. All this, and an available limited 5-year residential warranty.
SPRAY-CRETE IS THE PERFECT ENHANCEMENT OR REPAIR FOR: Concrete, Masonry, Terrazzo, Tile --
BECAUSE IT'S RESISTANT TO: Water, Mildew, Oil, Fire, Salt, and Stains.
AVAILABLE IN a multiple of patterns like: Keystone, Texture, Tile, Mexican Tile, Standard Tile, Brick, Handcrafted Brick, Ceramic Tile, Natural Stone, Freestyle Block - and many more custom styles and colors.
Crack Injection and
Waterproofing
Waterproofing: Basements, reservoirs, tanks, tunnels, overhead decks, garages, parking garages, stairwells, underground vaults are examples of structures RE-TECH has successfully applied proven waterproofing products and techniques.
General areas of restoration and some of our techniques are expansion joints, surface applications, and crack injection.
Expansion Joints RE-TECH Corporation installs E.V.A. foam expansion joints in new or old construction. E.V.A. is an expanded closed cell cross-linked, preformed expansion joint manufactured from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. E.V.A. is both elastic and cellular, and will function in both compression and tension without bulging.
The system can accommodate any joint movement, including vertical sheer, deflection, vibration, transverse, longitudinal, lateral sheer and rotation. The minimum tensile strength of E.V.A. is 50 p.s.i. and the minimum elongation at the break is 200%.
For weather control in joints we also install a variety of caulks on new or existing construction. Cold weather installation of Polyurea compounds for a flexible, sealed joint can be done even in below zero temperatures. Fast set compounds are employed where necessary to minimize down-time in working, around the clock structures such as parking garages.
Waterproofing Materials Cementitious: We use a method developed to cause a catalytic reaction which in turn generates a non-soluble crystalline formation of dendritic fibers within the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete. Crystalline waterproofing has (fixed size) air spaces so small that water molecules cannot pass through. However, it does allow the passage of air, thus the concrete is able to breath and become thoroughly dry, preventing water vapor buildup.
This process makes it possible to waterproof concrete structures from either the positive or negative side against hydrostatic pressure. The concrete is also protected against spalling, efflorescence, pop-outs, and other damages caused by weathering, de-icing chemicals, bleeding of salts and internal expansion and contraction during the freeze-thaw cycles. It also protects any reinforcing steel from deterioration caused by oxidation and electrolytic corrosion caused by chloride ions.
We are factory authorized applicators for XYPEX Waterproofing chemicals.
XYPEX CAPILARY
WATERPROOFING
A unique chemical treatment for the waterproofing and protection of concrete. Manufactured in the form of a dry powder compound, XYPEX consists of portland cement, very fine treated silica sand and various active proprietary chemicals.
Advantages of Xypex: Can waterproof underground structures form the inside against hydrostatic pressure - Protects concrete and reinforcing steel - Permits concrete to 'breathe' - Is Non-toxic - Can be applied to moist or 'green' concrete -
does not require protection during back filling or during placement of steel, wire mesh or other materials cannot puncture, tear or come apart at the seams. cannot puncture, tear or come apart at the seams. Does not require costly surface priming or leveling prior to application Is not just a coating - becomes an integral part of the concrete
POLYMER: A below ground coating method of positive side waterproofing is also offered on existing structures when excavation is not desired or not possible. This method is pin-point injection. A method where we air-drill pipes below ground to the point desired and inject hydro-active Urethane which both plugs any size hole, void and/or sets a membrane in place to prevent further unwanted migration or flow of water into living or working spaces. This method is also employed in soil stabilization.
RE-TECH Corporation also applies a host of decorative and/or protective, or non- skid safety coatings; and, penetrating sealers and elastomerics for defense against water penetration as well as coatings that discourage graffiti.
What is Crack Repair?
Crack repair is a simple but proven method for stopping water leakage through cracked concrete basement walls. Using a pressure gun, we inject liquid epoxy or polymer into the crack. The material sets up into a watertight seal that keeps water out of the basement. The seal is flexible, so it'll hold up even if the crack moves.
WHY DOES CONCRETE CRACK ? Some cracking in a poured concrete wall may be normal. concrete shrinks as it cures. So a crack may appear. This doesn't mean ther's anything wrong with your foundation. Sometimes a structural crack appears. It could be that the foundation wall is settling, or it could be that the concrete is faulty. If the crack is getting worse or if it's moving a lot, ask a reputable buider or engineer to look at it.
TYPES OF CRACKS Stuctural Cracks - we can repair with a special, high strength epoxy. Shrinkage Cracks - we can repair with a flexible or ridgid epoxy. Leaking cracks - we can repair with a urethane foam that reacts with moisture and running water and expands to form a flexible permanent seal.
Crack Repair and Injection: Injection of structural and flexible epoxy resins, and other chemical grout materials by means of pulse regulated pumping machines as well as individual injection capsules and other manual methods are provided for structural rehab as well as liquid proofing measures. Surface mount injector ports or drilled, pressure controlled packers are used on hairline and larger cracks.
Other crack repair methods are also offered for sealing moving cracks by routing out and filling with flexible epoxy, Polyurethane, Polyurea or other sealant. Some of our materials can be installed in temperatures down to -10 degrees F. Fast set materials (in minutes) allow customers to limit the down time of their facility.
